Hi-Def Keeps Making Waves
November 3, 2008

According to recent estimates, the market for Color Television Receivers, Video Monitors, and Projectors in 2007 was valued at $57.25 Billion (Source: Icon Group). The biggest growth sector in this market in recent years has been attributable to the HDTV revolution. In fact, HDTV sets comprised a majority of total television sales in the U.S. for the first time in 2006. A recent study from Kagan Research forecasts nearly 20 Million HD sets will be sold to US consumers in 2006, and estimates 104 Million cumulative HD sets will be sold to consumers by 2008 (Source: Kagan Research). According to Kagan Associate Analyst Patrick Johnson, "We project the average price of an HD set will decline some 38% by 2010…Rapid price declines, coupled with increasing levels of HD programming, will drive the number of HD households to 97 Million in 2010, penetrating more than 82% of total TVHH." The rapid adoption of HD technology clearly demonstrates the potential for new technology to capture substantial market share in an extremely short amount of time, as well as the receptivity of this particular market to products that improve the viewing experience.

3D Eye Solutions, Inc. (OTC: TDEY) is a service provider and integrator for the 3D stereo and auto-stereo media industry. The Company is dedicated to pushing the envelope in the 3D auto-stereoscopic industry. 3D Eye Solutions has focused on realizing its express mission as content providers to develop and produce properties that will heighten the overall viewing experience. By staying on the cutting edge of stereoscopic technology, the Company ensures its ability to constantly provide services that exceed expectations. In addition, with significant resources dedicated to ongoing research in emerging technology. 3D Eye Solutions offers a range of services consistent with its status as a leading content conversion provider, and is capable of processing existing and new properties with the Company's own proprietary techniques and processing power to create depth and flexibility in forward projection.

3D Eye Solutions offers a broad range of services intended to leverage the Company's unique integrated technology to the fullest extent possible. These services include stereo and multi-view consulting and integration, service conversions from standard (flat 2D) properties to 3D stereo and multi-view format, digital signage (including turnkey auto-stereoscopic systems in a variety of sizes ranging from 20" single displays to 132" wall size video displays), and more. Through this strategy of diversification, the Company is developing multiple revenue streams, as well as numerous access points to showcase the tremendous benefits of this innovative technology.

Revolutionary Technology: In a standard movie, a person's eyes (both left and right) gather essentially the same information. Therefore, when the mind processes the information, the image appears flat because there is no true perception of depth. If there is any 3D impression at all, it comes from visual clues in the image, such as perspective. However, the mind needs visual clues (usually individually captured by both the right and left eye) so it can perceive what is closer or farther away. It processes this information and places it into three-dimensional space. In the stereoscopic and auto-stereoscopic (multi-view) world, a distinct image is projected into each eye of the viewer. From that point, the viewer's brain takes over, processing each image in the same, natural way that it process the image it receives from the three dimensional world. The effect produces a true sense of depth from the media being viewed. This gives the illusion of an object being projected out beyond the display surface. The main difference between stereoscopic and multi-view is that stereo requires the use of 3D glasses and multi-view does not. Tangible advantages of this technology include:

  • Stereoscopic (feature films, television shows, video games) technology brings more viewings and greater profits in the same time period with more outlets than the average traditional movies. Product licensing and distribution will bring extended profits over time as consumer manufacturers catch up with the technology.
  • Stereoscopic 3D projection has repeatedly led to increased revenues in theaters and soon to be in home theater, video games and mobile markets. With the market for animated 3D movies increasingly almost by the day in the U.S., Company research indicates that this market demands attention, and 3D Eye Solutions is committed to fulfilling that need.
